Our Great High Priest The Hebrews writer has declared Jesus Christ as the High Priest of “good things to come” (Heb. 9:11) by His substitutionary death on the Cross for our sins. In doing so, Jesus has eclipsed the Jews’ earth-bound Temple Sanctuary and has proceeded into the heavenly sanctuary and the very presence of God (Heb. 8:1-2; 9:11-12).
