God Delivers Israel It is amazing to observe Joseph’s rapid ascension to power in Egypt which is described in Gen. 41:37-57 – twenty verses with God’s sovereignty on full display. It is important to remember that Joseph was God’s servant, His instrument to bring about deliverance from the famine not only for all of Egypt, but also for the people of Israel as well and the surrounding region.
