John 8 – Jesus, Friend of Sinners The Sequence of Events John 8 is an extended passage of 59 verses which combines the compassion and love of Jesus, another great “I Am” proclamation, the hate and conspiracy of the Jewish leaders, and an extended section of Jesus’ relationship with His Father (a major theme begun in Jn.7). The chapter begins with the touching of the woman caught in adultery.
