Broken

Broken Mind… Broken Life… Broken Heart

We let Satan & the world enchant us, wear us down, distract us with distracting arguments… we listen to Satan’s lies…  we surrender our minds to secular media… God isn’t there, He doesn’t care, He has no power over your life… our doubt and distractions undermine our ability to think clearly and honestly…

The result of allowing our mind to be deceived into turning away from God’s truth leads us instead to a life lived according to man’s selfishness, putting us on a path of dissatisfaction, anger, hatred… instead of the fulfilling life lived in God’s presence and His abundant provision, we are left to our own devices to dig and scrape in order to manufacture some deficient substitute of purpose and enjoyment

When our life is broken down under the weight of the world’s foolishness and rebellion, we find a point in our life when purpose seems to be lost, satisfaction is unattainable, it is as if we are lost in a storm-tossed sea with no power, just blown around on the fierce waves of a violent world with no ability to defend or avoid – we have left God out of our life, we have left Him behind as we aimlessly chased after the swirling winds of the world – the One Person Who would comfort and rescue us, the One Person Who truly loves us, is forbidden access to our heart — we have no relationship with our Creator and we realize that He alone has the peace and purpose we so desperately need and desire.  We are absolutely and unresolvably broken — but God, Who is rich in mercy and grace, reaches down to us with His healing hand.

What is the key to our brokenness being healed? Return to the anchors of our faith:  the unavoidable reality of God’s existence… the finished work of Christ on the Cross… the absolute, eternal truths of God’s Word.  God doesn’t want us broken, He wants us redeemed and filled by His Spirit, ready to be led by His sovereignty and leadership.  As we bow before Him and recognize Him as Lord of our life, then we become aware that He is ready to work in and through us.  Romans 6 expresses it as being alive to God, raised up into a new life in Christ, no longer a slave to Satan & sin, living as an instrument of righteousness in God’s hands.

Turn to Him, bow before Him, place your hand in His.  He wants to lift you up in New Life, alive to God and empowered by His Spirit to walk in His strength as a new person in Christ.  “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17
